Once John Brown, a decorated military officer, farmer and Church Deacon, The resurrected John Booker is a man who spent 30 years trying to live up to his preconception of Heaven instead of embracing his destiny. He leave the life of a worship leader in New Jerusalem to follow his natural urge to be a Royal Navy Marine. He soon catches the attention of Micha’el, General of the Lord’s host himself. The book, Restitution, recounts the event of his first mission. He boards the derelict hunter class starship, Restitution, in order to rescue its insane single occupant. Instead, he become a victim of that creature’s tormented psyche. His journey through the Redemption series peels away the layers of duty, faith, and love, as he struggles to reconcile a fractured past with a future that demands sacrifice. Booker isn’t just a protagonist—he’s a fulcrum where justice, mercy, grace and sheer determination collide.
Exile is a tortured soul. He has exiled himself to a remote corner of the galaxy on a hijacked cruiser which is now drifting aimlessly through space in a derelict state. He is an extremely powerful being with abilities beyond most, making him highly dangerous. His first instinct upon encountering others is to crush their spirit and if this doesn’t work, lash out. He is highly paranoid, irrational, and psychotic.
Eli Coombs is a giant of man at 7.5ft tall. On Old Earth he had a reputation for slinging sinners over his shoulder and dragging them kicking and screaming to his church where he would preach fire and brimstone at them. Now he serves faithfully as the dauntless and highly respected first officer of the Royal Navy Starship Redemption,
The archangel Uri’el. The one thought to be the angel of wisdom by men but who’s idea of wisdom runs more along the lines of: “I’m wise enough not to be clever around someone who can pound them into a smooth paste.” Uri’el is the most battle hardened of the archangels, He is a tanned, muscular, brute with short blonde hair. He eschews the hi-tech armour the malakim wear in favour of his ancient leather and bronze armour which is showing its age. His weapons of choice are two one-handed Spirit Axes which are always either hung at his sides or embedded in the skulls of the Lord’s enemies. He is never seen with the metal wings that most archangels have on their armour. He possesses consummate skill in orbing and de-orbing out of the spiritual realm in order to ‘fly’. A skill known only to a elite few. There are doubtless many warriors even the most skilled Fallen would not want to face in battle, but at the very top of the list of them sits Uri’el.
